2nd Berlin Congress for Innovative Energy Technologies

Time: Thursday June 13th, 2002 - Saturday June 15th 2002
Location: SolarEnergy 2002, Messe Berlin, Messedamm 22, D-14055 Berlin, Germany
Organizer: BINNOTEC e.V., Berlin

Scientific studies such as "Global 2000 - Report to the President" (USA) have shown that at the present level of energy consumption and population growth, fossil fuels like oil, natural gas and coal will be spent within the next few decades. Climatologists believe that we should not even use more than a third of these resources if we want to keep global warming below the critical threshold of one degree Celsius.

However, recently a number of new approaches in energy generation have been developed (e.g., utilization of zero-point energy) that promise to cover a considerable part of our energy demand at relatively low cost.

The 2nd Berlin Congress for Innovative Energy Technologies is intended to serve the exchange of scientists working in the development of innovative energy technologies, to sensitize and inform citizens and politics on the subject of future regenerative and sustainable energy generation beyond solar energy, wind power, hydro-power, and the heat pump.

The congress serves as a forum for scientists, developers, and investors wanting to be up to date on and discuss the actual state of the worldwide development of innovative energy technologies. These consist of, e.g.:

Organizer

BINNOTEC e.V. (Berlin Institute for Innovative Technologies, www.binnotec.org) has been founded in 2001 by 10 scientists, researchers and engineers, some of them working in the field of new energy technologies since more than 20 years.

The aim of Binnotec is:

Location

Berlin, the long divided and now reunited metropolis in the heart of Europe, will be the stage of this extraordinary event, in which researchers from East and West will present their theories and technologies to an international public

For two days, the fair ground under the Berlin radio tower will be the forum for interested guests from all over the world.

The SolarEnergy 2002 Fair with its more than 25.000 visitors and over 300 exhibitors, one of the largest fairs for Renewable Energies in Europe, offers the appropriate frame. Directed by Reiner Heinzel and Jutta Bode, SolarEnergy has quickly developed into a highlight among the European fairs for Renewable Energies. For 2002, about 300 exhibitors and more than 25’000 visitors are expected - an ideal forum to make space energy technologies known to a broad public.
